Leadership built
on experience.
Mike Ratajczak and Ryan Ainsworth founded Ramcon Builders to bring senior-level construction expertise, direct accountability, and hands-on leadership to commercial projects.
Ramcon Builders grew from a shared conviction that the quality of a construction project depends on the judgment and accountability of the people leading it. Longtime friends and industry colleagues, Mike Ratajczak and Ryan Ainsworth built their careers managing commercial construction work and navigating complex project requirements.
Today, they bring that experience together in an owner-led company where clients have direct access to seasoned professionals, decisions receive the attention they deserve, and every project carries the founders' personal commitment.
Mike Ratajczak
Mike Ratajczak brings more than 20 years of commercial construction experience and a proven ability to navigate challenges without losing sight of the project schedule. He has built his career turning unforeseen conditions into opportunities for effective planning, coordination, and timely delivery.
Mike worked alongside business partner Ryan Ainsworth for nearly two decades at a large Sacramento commercial contractor. Together, they developed their expertise in estimating, negotiating, and managing complex construction projects. As Ryan moved into broader operations leadership, Mike led the Special Projects Division for seven years, overseeing multiple clients and projects ranging from $500,000 to $30 million.
His portfolio spans tenant improvements, data centers, hospital renovations, complex waterproofing, parking structures, wineries, manufacturing facilities, and ground-up construction. His past clients include Hewlett Packard, Oracle, Kaiser, Sutter, Agilent, Keysight, Bogle, Orrick, California Earthquake Authority, Hines, CalPERS, CalSTRS, Verizon, SureWest, Truckee High School, Sierra College, UC Davis, and UC Davis Health, among others.
At the center of Mike's approach are lasting relationships with clients and trade partners. Open communication and mutual trust help teams identify issues early, make practical decisions, and protect schedules. Those relationships, and years of conversations with Ryan about creating a different kind of construction company, led to the founding of Ramcon Builders in 2026.
Ramcon was established to deliver the same high-caliber work with faster contract execution, quicker decisions on fast-moving projects, and a nimble network of trade partners that can create competitive advantages for clients.
